Wimpy - Beef ($14.50)

Instead of the signature Fat Basterd Burger, I went for the Wimpy burger, which is the single patty version of the former. The Wimpy Burger comes with a beef chuck patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, a sunny-side up and their homemade Fatboy's sauce on a sesame bun. The thick cut fries tasted pretty average. But the Heinz tomato sauce actually managed to impress the Prince, who is not quite a fan of tomato/chilli sauce. The texture of the bun and meat was soft and could easily cut down using a knife, which made eating the burger not much of a hassle.

Jamaican Me Hungry ($13)

The Jamaican Me Hungry burger is a "taller" burger. It comes with Jerk seasoned bacon stuffed Pork patty topped with sundried tomatoes and homemade coleslaw and smothered with mayonnaise on a sesame seed bun.

Besides the great list of speciality burgers on the menu, they also allows you to create your own burger with choice of bun, patty, add ons and sauces!

BBQ Chicken Chop (RM17.90+)

The restaurant had a pretty nice ambience with a good variety of western food menu ranging from hotplate, pasta to chicken chop. Both the Mexican Burger and BBQ Chicken Chop were in rather big portion. I like the thick cut fries which made it very satisfying on each bites. The burger was a double beef patties with pepper sauce, which made the burger very flavourful. The chicken chop was also tender and yummy.

Recommended for family to chill out with great food.

KFC Rancher Burger

KFC Rancher ($2.95 - promotion price)

We tried this new KFC Rancher burger. As you can see from the image, the size of the burger is relatively bigger than other burgers. What makes this different from a Zinger, other than the size and shape, is its sauce. The sauce tastes sweet and what they call it "tangy".

I think the most important thing about a good burger is whether is it warm enough when its served. The KFC Double Down which we tried was not that fantastic cause it was cold. The Rancher was mildly warmed and the portion of the burger is good for satisfying the craving. But this still does not beat The Zinger.

A new idea for fastfood hangout. What I like about the restaurant is the clean and funky layout of the whole place. The menu is simple and clean by making their set meal a standard of price $9.90, regardless of the burger or fries you choose. It's a fastfood restaurant with slightly more expensive pricing, but giving you a fresh menu of burger choices and fries.

Maid's Har Jeong Kai Burger with Salt & Vinegar Fries ($9.90)

As you may have noticed, there are actually a variety of fries' flavour which you can choose from! At the first taste, the salt and vinegar fries was good because it gave a new flavouring from the usual plain fries. However after the first taste, the remaining was just nothing but saltiness. Curry fries was better.

Both of us was surprised by the texture of the bread and meat, which we could effortlessly cut our burgers into half with plastic knife and fork. However, the burgers were too salty for me. My HJK tasted over-marinated. Blame it on the fries maybe.

In all, the meal was quite a disappointment for me. I didn't try their dessert, although I felt that it should be worth a try since it's run by the well-known Awfully Chocolate.

Swensen's

Double Cheese Beef Burger &
Cheese Steak Meltdown

Xmas Eve Dinner was at Swensen's ION Orchard. The restaurant is situated at a corner of ION, where you actually have to pass by the Popeyes along the corner before reaching the entrance of restaurant.

The Double Cheese Beef Burger was quite a tall burger with two thick pieces of beef and cheese. Maybe I'm not very used to eating burger like this, the burger was bit too tall for me. Shared a slice of the beef with Prince, and still find the meat rather thick and filling.

The Cheese Steak Meltdown was a sandwich with grilled steak. Tasted not bad. Looked much lesser than the Beef Burger but still quite filling.
