Ah Loy Thai (Tampines Mall)

Speaking of Thai food in Singapore, you should know about Ah Loy Thai. Even though Ah Loy Thai does not have a nice comfy restaurant ambience like other Thai Restaurants, it serves pretty decent Thai food. So if you like Thai food and have not been there before, you should give it a go.

Fresh Ice Lemon Tea ($2.20)

I'm not sure whether is it a general rised in the prices at both their outlets or the Tampines Mall outlet prices are tend to be more expensive than the Shaw Tower outlet. The Ice Lemon Tea costed only $1 and Pineapple Fried Rice $5.50 when we visited the Shaw Tower outlet in April this year, as compared to the $2.20 and $7 respectively in Tampines Mall.

Thai Mango Crispy Chicken ($8.50)

Delicious Mango Crispy Chicken! I like how the sweet and sour sauce tasted with the crispy chicken.

Pineapple Fried Rice ($7)

Thai Fried Keotow - Phad Thai ($7)

Having tried the Pineapple Fried Rice and Phad Thai at their Shaw Tower outlet, the obvious difference on the appearances were the size of prawns. As seen in the pictures above, the prawns were of reasonable size, whereas those we had at Shaw Tower could hardly be considered as prawns, as they were tiny like shrimps. Despite so, the prawns at Tampines Mall outlet were not fresh and both the Pineapple Fried Rice and Phad Thai tasted rather ordinary.

If you want to give Ah Loy Thai a try or thinking of trying the Ah Loy Thai at Tampines Mall, I would recommend that you visit the Shaw Tower outlet for a more value-for-money and tastier Thai cuisine treat.
