Khansama Tandoori Restaurant

Mango Lassi ($5+)

We don't know what lassi means but this drink is definitely a must try. Very thick yogurt and mango mixed to result in this drink. Useful for removing the spiciness in your mouth if you cant take spicy food well like me.

Tandoori Chicken Quarter ($6.50+)

The waitress said it wasn't spicy but she was bluffing. This dish is quite spicy and quite a big portion of the chicken was burnt as seen from the black parts. However the seasoning of the chicken was good and went perfectly well with the green peppermint sauce to give a refreshing starter dish.

Garlic Naan ($3.50+), Kashmiri Naan ($5.50+) Mutton Curry ($9.50+) & Chicken Tomato ($10.50+)

Once again the naan has quite a few burnt portions and was quite disturbing when eating. Khasmiri naan was very sweet and paired with with the tomato chicken which is also sweet but the maid did not like sweet version of prata.

Lucky for her, there was the mutton curry which is very to her liking and she dipped her prata into the mutton curry every time. It is amazing how they managed to make the chicken and mutton so tender.

This place is a little like a tourist attraction with many ang mo visiting and the occasional chinese like us. Ambiance of the place was good except that shops downstairs may blast some loud indian music. Service was good and prompt and they did not charge for service. The only bad thing about the place was the little tinge of smell which I didnt encounter the last time I was there.
