We couldnt find our hotel which was supposedly located near Baiyoke Sky hotel and since it was lunch time, we decided to go for a meal at Black Canyon Coffee in Indra Square.
Green Curry Spaghetti |
Phad Thai |
On the other hand, they did whip up a good dish of Phad Thai which is a must-try for everyone visiting Thailand.
We then adjourned to Terminal 21. There were many small yet interesting eatery shops in the basement. We first went to the food court and got ourselves another must-try dish of Thailand, mango sticky rice.
Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut |
The combination of glutinous rice with the mango coupled with coconut was heavenly. This immediately awaken the maid's stomach for more delicacies later on.
Hokkaido Cheese Cake @ Farm Design
We saw a specialty shop which sells cheese cakes and other flavoured cakes. We settled for the most original-cheese cake from Hokkaido. Though the portion of the cake was quite small, the taste was very well worth it. It tasted very authentic, just like how a traditional cheese cake should be.
Milk Tea from Mr.Cup T
This is the maid's favourite drink of the trip. It was as good as milk tea you can find in Taiwan, if not better.
Cream Chicken Omelette @ CoCo Ichibanya
In the night, we went to the Red Sky Bar planning for a good 55th floor rooftop view of the Bangkok city to end off the day. However, we were disappointed. It was drizzling outside and the outdoor area was closed for the night.
Since they had the indoor bar, we went on to have a bottle of Jacob's Creek Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 red wine to end off our first day in the Land of Smiles. Ambience there was quite good and the maid got drunk quickly.
